Been busy.

So, I've been busy. As a result, been away. The contract lawyering I have been doing is kicking my butt. Barely time to make it to the gym and then home to get ready for the next day. Tired is me. I'll think of something better to write about tomorrow.

sabbatical.

on sabbatical until after the bar - unless i need to vent.

off to vienna.

i leave for vienna for another round of the vis international moot arbitration competition. ten days in austria and a minimum of four days of competition. the university of vienna hosts - always the week before easter. the competition focuses on using various UNCITRAL conventions and model laws and is in vienna because UNCITRAL is in vienna.

six of us, including our coach, are heading over. i am hoping we advance this year to the 'brackets', or vis' own april madness.

will update more from the road - hopefully with a jaunt to salzburg.

finals suck.

i am back from austria. the competition was so unbelievably fun. arguing was the most fun i have had in law school. enjoy the photos.

this is what a big college campus needs.

outdoor classrooms. or pavilions with comfortable seating, outlets for laptops, and wi-fi. how else is a person to work on a gorgeous day? staying inside can be quite stifling.

so, go forth. lobby. make it happen. it will keep students sane.

even lansing has its own serial killer. very creepy.

first day of class was yesterday, and it was a long day. i was in an all day conference until class, ran to class (evidence - which had me confused beyond all), and then headed home. of course, i was home just in time for all of the gigantic thunderstorms and tornado warnings, so spent about an hour in my tub with my cats during the tornado warning. tons of fun for the rest of the night with cable and power outages - oh, and phone issues. how was your night?
